We’ll be encoring his extraordinary Season 47 hour this coming weekend, to remind everyone what a special artist he is. New Orleans native and Stephen Colbert bandleader Batiste won Album of the Year for his 2021 LP We Are, as well as Best American Roots Song, Best American Roots Performance, Best Music Video and Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media (for his contributions to the Pixar film Soul). Season 47 standouts Jon Batiste and Olivia Rodrigo both won big. So it will probably not be played tonight, but you never know.Austin City Limits sends our congratulations to the winners of last night’s 64th annual GRAMMY Awards, co-produced by ACL executive producer Terry Lickona. From the rumors currently floating around, that song will be played at a few select shows with a guest violinist(s), with the likely candidates being Toronto, NYC, Vancouver and Los Angeles. Paul Rush reportedly played Losing It (confirmed by several independent sources) in soundcheck (using a triggered/recorded violin part), although they didn't end up playing it during the show. Another outside possibility for the setlist is Losing It. It's also possible that the band will throw one other surprise in - maybe swap something into the One Little Victory/How It Is spot (maybe even something from Test For Echo?). Rush has played all the songs listed in the tourbook credits so far except for The Big Money, but since they haven't played it up to this point, the band may have just decided to drop it from the setlist altogether. That said, it's still very possible they'll throw something new in at some point. This seems to suggest that the band will be alternating between those 3 setlists from this point onwards, and that tonight's show will be the same as the Lincoln setlist (Setlist Version B). Rush begins their 3-show stint across the Lone Star State tonight where they'll play the Austin360 Amphitheater in Austin, TX - the 5th overall and the first outdoor show of the R40 Live tour.
